ABOUT THE SPECIES
Kyoorins are divided into 3 classes - debris, pearl and bubble. First created artificially by humans in a laboratory, they are a result of genetic modification experiments - a combination of Earth animals in which one is always aquatic. Kyoorins’ main objective is to explore hitherto unknown corners of the galaxy. Being oviparous, they mostly hatch from eggs.

APPEARANCE
Since kyoorins are able to take on various forms, it’s impossible to follow a specific pattern… Their appearance is based on the Earth animals they are combined of. Kyoorins are mostly anthropomorphic, feral ones do not exist in their world.

TRAITS
Characteristics unique to every kyoorin consist of alignment, personality, symbol and are determined by the environment surrounding them.

SUBSPECIES
DEBRIS
The most unique Kyoorins. Created by the generator once every 100 years, they possess special abilities. Their immortal lifespan allows them to achieve incredible things, although it can also become a torment at times. Long ago, an organization for all first-generation pups was founded. There, they learn to control their ability under supervision (each 1st gen has a beast form) and conduct non-invasive food modification experiments leading to the emergence of new nutrition. Despite that they form a subspecies significantly differing from other kyoorins, they live in harmony with others. Mantaining a life on the run or in hiding, they rarely get into long-lasting relationships.

PEARL
Rare kyoorins hatching from pearls. Their smooth and shiny coat resembles the texture of so called sea jewels. Pure pearl kyoorins mantain their majestic demeanor and are considered aristocracy. Their lifespan is longer than the bubble ones’ - they live up to 200 years. It’s rather despised by society for pearl kyoorins to match with bubble ones but, as we all know, there are no obstacles love cannot overcome. The division is not so significant, because equality is one of the key pillars in the world of kyoorins.

BUBBLE
The most common kyoorins no less special than other subspecies. They hatch from colorful bubbles and live up to 100 years. Full of ambition, they lead a simple life, capable of great things. They claim that everything is possible owing to one’s faith in oneself. There are individuals with extraordinary abilities, especially related to the spiritual world.

COMBINATIONS
Kyoorins are combined of Earth animals and they resemble their appearance respectively. One may consist of :

  • 1 aquatic animal

  • and up to 3 others

  • [there are many outcomes possible!!]

COLOURS
A kyoorin’s appearance may take on :

  • 3 colours or less [common]

  • 3 colours or more [rare]

  • a specific pattern [unique]

NOTE : the rarity labels only apply to specified trait, so it is absolutely possible for a BUBBLE [common] kyoorin to have a unique trait!

SKIN TEXTURE & COAT
Four types can be distinguished :

  • fur

  • feathers

  • scales

  • none [just skin]

They can mix and overlap each other. Each are divided into two subtypes :

  • common, dependant on the species

  • extra shiny - exclusive for PEARL

AMORIS
Kyoorins that are dedicated and loyal to their partner. They value their relationships more than anything else. With their caring nature they're seen as the partners of dreams but often they tend to forget about their other duties in the name of dates and romantic evenings. They're unfulfilled without a close relationships and are able mantain those for a very long time.

FELIX
Cheerful Kyoorins with a happy-go-lucky attitude. Never worrying about the future, they live in a moment. Often laid-back, they’re great at noticing details and acting upon chance. They love coulours and possess a bubbly personality, sometimes taking things too light-heartly.

FEROX
These Kyoorins posses a bold and charismatic demeanor. Natural born leaders or loners prefering to work alone. Often described as fierce, wild and single-minded, they have heads full of unconventional ideas.

MISERUM
Quiet intellectuals with high sense of empathy and sensitivity. Dependable and reliable, they often do thoughtful things for the people they care about. These individuals don’t typically show their true emotions and keep them to themselves, until they becomes so pent up over time that they reach a breaking point. They tend to set incredibly high standards for themselves and others and when the perfect outcome is not achieved, they often become frustrated and give up entirely on a matter.

MOLLIS
Sensitive creatures prone to empathy and understanding of others. Seeing beauty in small things, they strike to find happiness everywhere around them and share it with others. They are for sure indecesive, often overanalyzing things too much. They are always able to give second chances, they believe there is good in every Kyoorin.

SOMNIALIS
A bit lethargic but imaginative, blue-sky thinking and artistic Kyoorins. Creatures full of dreams and ambitions with a spark in their eye. They seldom have the strength to devote oneself to a specific purpouse, making them more of a daydreamers than creatures of action. Natural peacemakers, they’re known for being calm and easygoing.
